Springs Dance Company presents
Journey of the Magi
A sparkling production of dance, theatre, song and poetry for all the family!
Step out of the rush to Christmas this year and pause to reflect on the festive season! London-based Springs Dance Company is bringing its Advent tour Journey of the Magi to:-
TRINITY SCHOOL Taunton Road, Lee, SE12 8PD on Friday 2nd December 2011 at 7.30pm
The show, which is an inspirational evening of dance, music and drama has been the Company's most popular performance to date. Based on the poem by T.S. Eliot, the performance helps audiences to reflect on not only the famous journey the wise men made following the star to Jesus, but also the ‘journey’ each of us makes every year in preparing for Christmas Day. Journey of the Magi is an ingenious mix of dance and theatre, enjoyed by children and adults alike. The show not only entertains but also provokes consideration for change.
Tickets are £7.70 for adults and £5.50 for children and concessions, available online from www.wegottickets.com.
A limited number of tickets will also be available on the door.

Major Musical Event at Trinity
On Friday October 7th at 7.30pm Trinity School is hosting a special musical event in celebration of British Choral Music. A London-based top quality and versatile chamber choir CANTICUM are visiting the school to sing a variety of music by Tallis, Purcell, Stanford, Elgar, Britten, Tippet and Burgon. Canticum are worth hearing, as the Times correspondent recently wrote 'the mellifluous London choir Canticum have such impeccable intonation and blend'. In addition, this event will feature an atmospheric piece by the Trinity's Patron for Music Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, the Master of the Queen's music. 'Step by Circle' is a continuous setting of six poems from George Mackay Brown's Fishermen with Ploughs, which concern the traditional ways of life and death in Orkney where Maxwell Davies lived for 28 years. The composer wrote this piece for Mark Forkgen (Canticum's conductor) and the choir and, most excitingly, Sir Peter will be at the concert on October 7th. Don't miss this event and support Trinity as it becomes a centre of excellence in our community.
Tickets are available from the school or from Canticum's box office 020 7681 1046 or fhrough the choir's website www.canticum.org.uk
