Using 'Start' at Trinity

Start, now used at Trinity is a free, online careers platform, designed to connect 11-18 year olds with their future career potential. It combines comprehensive information with a personalised experience and career planning tools. Start helps our students to make informed decisions about their future study and career options, as well as developing their employability skills.

Start will help your child to:

  • Understand how their skills, interests and subject preferences link to jobs and industries
  • Make more informed decisions at key moments of choice
  • Undertake and record experiences that will enhance their future employability
  • Create a profile to evidence their employability, build a CV and prepare for interviews

 TEAMS Career Channels

At Trinity, each year group has a dedicated Teams Careers Channel, helping guide students with information on careers from year 7 to 11, including GCSE options, post-16 pathways and advice on vocational opportunities and pathways.  The channels are regularly updated with news on the world of work, 6th form open days, career events and resources, as well as useful links, videos, application reminders, deadlines, tips and guides, helping students to make informed choices.

Scholarship Opportunities

Trinity has built links with Independent schools to provide our highest achieving pupils with the opportunity to win Sixth Form scholarship at some of the country’s best independent schools. To be awarded a scholarship pupils will be required to sit an entrance exam and interview in addition to achieving at the highest level at GCSE.

Previous pupils Janielle Orisa-Nwoke and Cindy-Ann Lael Malouange Yetna who have had the wonderful opportunity to attend Lancing College on a scholarship have gone on to receive scholarships to Cambridge and Oxford University. We wish both girls every success along their journey.
