Key Worker and Vulnerable pupil provision
Our key worker provision is moving from the primary site to the secondary site from the 1st of June. So straight after half term we will be moving this provision to the secondary site. The day will follow a similar pattern and there will be staff from both phases providing support for the provision. This is for both primary and secondary aged pupils.
Pupils will be expected to arrive between 0830 and 0845 unless you have arranged a different time directly with the Executive Head. IT is vital that pupils arrive in this time slot only.
They will have several rooms allocated to them - including a large classroom and a computer suite. They will also have sole use of the school playground and equipment.
Collection will be at 3.15pm for the primary aged pupils and those of secondary age will be dismissed at 3pm. Lunch will continue to be provided - it will be a cold lunch at the secondary site to start with.
If you have any questions please do phone the school. Stay safe and strong.
We have organised a provision for the pupils of our parents who are Key Workers and for those that are vulnerable. Key Workers are those that work within the following:
- Health and social care
- Education and childcare
- Emergency Services
- Public safety and national security
- Key national and local government
- Food and other necessary goods
- Utilities and communication
If you are a key worker and you have someone at home then the children are expected to be at home. Those that are Vulnerable are those with allocated social workers and those with Educational Health Care Plan's. We have contacted our vulnerable families and asked all our families to identify themselves as Key Workers. If you have not spoken to us and feel you fit within this category please do phone the school on our main number to confirm you fit in this category and to ensure a place is reserved for you.
Our provision is moving to the secondary site from the 1st of June.
Our main provision will be following the normal school day, from 0845 to 1515. Pupils should arrive at the Secondary Main office from 0830 to 0845. They will be told where to go on arrival after they have signed in and used the hand sanitiser at reception. Pupils will be working on the packs provided by the school and on IT based platforms. They will have a break and lunch will be provided for all of these pupils during this time. We will have teachers and support staff to help pupils complete the work set. Unfortunately our wrap around service, which was run by The Young Explorers, is not operating at the moment. We will however have an extended service for specific cases if permission is granted by the Executive Headteacher.
Primary pupils will be expected to be picked up as normal from the front office at 15.15. Those of secondary age will be dismissed at 3pm so we have a staggered end of the day - they must go straight home on their own. We will update this page as and when the government makes new announcements. Please look after each other at this time, and if you need anything do phone the school during school hours to ask any questions. Take care.
