Pastoral Team

At Trinity, we believe in helping pupils understand their mistakes, take ownership for any emotional or physical harm caused through their actions and be responsible for repair of the damage done.

With this restorative approach, we promote pupils' emotional intelligence, and help pupils take ownership of their actions by facing the consequences; thus reducing the likelihood of repeating the same mistake.

The restorative approach helps the victims have their voice heard, giving power back to them. They are supported by teachers who are trained to deliver restorative meetings between the wrong doer and the victim. The facilitator of these meetings must remain impartial and listen to both sides in order to tease out facts, feelings and thoughts through a series of specific questions, whilst referring to any witness statements that have been taken.
